The escrow set
Every DOI, its record and its whole history, in open files anyone can read — made every night, published here, and kept outside our hosting, so that every DOI outlives Smart Scholars.

928 records, 1,851 ledger events. Five files; the checksum of each is printed beside it and in the .sha256 file, so a copy can be checked anywhere with sha256sum -c. The README inside the set says how to keep the DOIs resolving without any software of ours.

The newest 14 days' sets are kept here; every night's set is also kept, permanently, in the copies below.
Where the copies live
Continuity means the set exists where our hosting does not. Each night's set is (1) written on the web host, (2) carried in the encrypted nightly backup to Smart Scholars' own server and, from there, (3) committed to Smart Scholars' private escrow repository on GitHub, where every night's set stays in the history, and (4) copied to a Google Drive folder once that copy is switched on. Under the persistence policy the set will also be lodged with a third party under a continuity agreement; that arrangement is stated here when it is made.
