abstract = {The movement of the continents was first discerned by A. Wagener, who in his studies established the basis for the theory of continental movement. Later Xavier Le Pichon and others further established the theory of plate tectonics, based mainly on internal processes inside the Earth such as slab pull, mantle convection, subduction, and ridge push. Contrarily, I suggest that the primary forces acting upon the movement of the continents are external, where by the Sun’s gravitational force acts on the axis of the Earth’s rotation in winter and summer, and accordingly on the circular peripheral movement of the Equator, driving the movement of the continents in circular fashion. I assume that the forces suggested by Le Pichon and other scientists are also active, but nevertheless are secondary, driven perhaps by the external forces that I suggest. In this article I present in detail the model and theory that I propose, summarizing several articles I have published as well as several articles by Le Pichon and other scientists. Additionally, I present excerpts from Le Pichon’s 1968 article, which measured the movement of the continents and found that they move in circular fashion, a phenomenon which accords with my proposed model, as described above, and helps to establish it.}
