abstract = {Thymoquinone (TQ), the most important bioactive constituent of Nigella sativa, has been originating to exhibit anticancer effects in plentiful preclinical studies. Due to its multi targeting character, TQ interferes in an extensive assortment of tumorigenic processes and counteracts carcinogenesis, malicious growth, incursion, exodus, and angiogenesis. Moreover, TQ can exclusively sensitize tumor cells on the way to predictable cancer treatments (e.g.,chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy) and at the same time lessen psychoanalysis connected lethal effects in regular cells. In this review, we summarized the adjuvant prospective of TQ as observed in an assortment ofin vitroandin vivoanimal models and discussed the pharmacological properties of TQ to diminish its additional role in potentiating the usefulness of usual remedial modalities specifically surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. On the whole we suggest supplementary ample evaluation of TQ in preclinical and clinical levels to demarcate its obscure usefulness as a novel corresponding adjuvant remedy for cancer treatment.}
